"Three Lions Royal Standard of England"
The Royal Banner or Standard of England has featured three lions since 1198 and remained like that until 1340 when a more complex Standard including the Fleur de Lys were incorporated. It depicts three lions passant, perhaps representing Richard I's principal three positions as King of the English, Duke of Normandy, and Duke of Aquitaine. Nowadays the three lions are best known as the symbol of the England football team, although those are no longer in gold on a red background.

Framed Print: Ready-to-hang in an antique gold wooden frame with perspex glaze, milled with simple clean lines and a satin finish for extra protection. Square profile frame measures 20mm. The size listed refers to the size of the glaze and does not include the width of the frame.
Canvas: Stretched canvas on a wooden frame with 38mm of depth. Finger jointed canvas frames create corner tension which helps to resist warping. For larger sizes, we add wooden ‘wedges’ to each corner. A "Mirror wrap" on the edges of the image is repeated on the sides with the entire image appearing on the front.
Acrylic: A frame-free wall art option, our scratch resistant acrylic glass is crystal clear with diamond polished edges giving stunning, luminous colours with brilliant depth giving a modern, contemporary look. It is shatter and scratch resistant, see photo of the hidden hanging system.
Aluminium: Aluminium dibond is a lightweight composite material. It’s 3mm thick with three layers; a black polyethylene core between two platinum white aluminium sheets. Light areas of the print give beautiful metallic glints of light. We use fine art inks with a Giclée printing method to ensure increased saturation and luminosity with a metallic lustre sheen. Note that size measurements are not precise due to metric/imperial conversions. Acrylic product are not available in 18x24 so 16x24 is used instead. Acrylic is not available in A0 sizes. Original artwork may be cropped to best fit available product sizes. Finer details may not be legible on smaller prints.
